本日から夏時間、ホクホク会の東北津波犠牲者追悼式で歌うことになっていたが、朝8：47にメールが入り、JCH合唱団の人数が揃わないので辞退するとの事。何たる失態。
夏時間移行のため、一時間早起きするとなんか眠たいが、ニュースを見たあと、年次報告の英訳にかかる。英訳が二ページ終わったところで、犬を連れて2.4マイルを歩く。4の靴、Spencoの中敷き、茶色と黒のSmartwoolの靴下二枚。時間は59分。悪くない。
帰ってから、カミノの旅行社に問い合わせる。

As you may be well aware, spread of Covid-19 virus is acute. The people that affected in Italy is now over 7000 and France, where I am going, exceeded 1000. NY state declared a state of emergency on Saturday.
There are suggestions in our area; avoid reporting to office/work but use internet instead, do not report to school and stay home, avoid riding subway or public transportations so on. Schools and universities are being closed. Shows and concerts are being closed or postponed indefernately. Meetings are encouraged to be postponed or cancelled. Returning Americans from abroad are asked to undergo voluntary quarantine for 14 days at home.
Under such circumstance as above, I wonder if it is safe for me to travel to France and Spain soon.
I would appreciate it if you could provide your observations, outlook and suggestions.
