I needed a water reservoir (such as Camel Back), short sleeve shirts and short pants in addition to stamps on my credential. To accomplish there matters and to resume walking, the way I know is to hire taxi to go around. Luckily, taxi driver I hired spoke multi language. First, went to Church of Saint Roch. Closed until 3 pm. Next, Cathedral of St. Pierre. Big and beautiful church with a huge pipe organ. The stamp was also pretty.
Then to a suburb shopping mall. Bought clothing and got dropped off on the Camino at Grabels. Met with a couple of preregrinos at the church in the village. Stamp was for self service. Walked for 10.4 km and arrived to Montenaud.
For dinner, I asked the inn-keeper to prepare something simple and she did.
Montpellierは大都会だけあって、観光スポットは数多くありますが、観光旅行に来たわけではないので、もう一度 Church of Saint Rochに行きますと、3時から開くと書いてありました。次にCathedrale of Saint Pierreに行きました。美しく大きな教会という感じを受けました。中でもパイプオルガンは巨大でした。最初の日に、日射病になった、又はなりかけたのは、半そで、半ズボンがなかった、水を頻繁に飲むためのCamel Backがなかったという反省から、タクシーで郊外の運動具店に行き、それらを調達しました。Montpellierは、実質的なアルルの道の出発点で、郊外のGabelsの村からは、本格的な巡礼の道が始まりました。ここからは、巡礼の数が少し多くなり、村の出口にあるこじんまりとした教会では、5名の巡礼に会いました。一時前に出発し、10.4ｋｍの山道を歩きました。途中、太陽電池の大掛かりな発電設備がありました。 Montenaudの坂の上の民宿に5時過ぎに着きました。夕食はシンプルなものにしてほしいと頼んだら、その通りにしてくれました。
