2022.0608.(Wed) Montanaud to St. Gilhem le Desert

Started from La Bossiere, 5.2km from Montanaud. Weather was cloudy and cool. I wore short sleeves and short pants bought the day before but was not appropriate for the weather. The first 8km was quiet road and marked well. Arrived at Aniane, fairly large village around here. It was the first time on this trip to have a lunch in a restaurant. Resume walking to north for 2 km on a rockery trail and switched to paved street for another 2 km. Arrived at a beautiful bridge near St. Jean de Foe. From that bridge, the trail was along the highway for next 4 km and arrived at de destination. the hotel was facing the center plaza of this medieval village.

今日は20㎞を超えるので、最初の5㎞は車に乗り、Bossiereから歩き出しました。久しぶりに曇り空です。半そで、半ズボンを着る最初の日に、気温が高くないのは皮肉です。最初の8㎞は静かな道で、道標もちゃんとしていました。Anianeの村で、はじめてレストランで昼食をとりました。2㎞は石だらけの道で、次の2ｋｍは舗装道路でした。St. Jean de Foeの近くにL’Heraulfという川を渡るきれいな橋があり、これを渡りました。ここからは、両側から山が迫り、川沿いに4㎞北上します。目的地は、その川の支流に肩を寄せ合うように小さな家々が集まっている村でした。宿は、この中世の村の中央広場に面していました。
