0612(Mon) Went to see Karatsu Ningyo Joururi 唐津人形浄瑠璃保存会の講演
佐賀唐津より、竹本鳴子さん率いる浄瑠璃公演があった。傾城阿波の鳴門のさわり、お弓とお鶴の邂逅場面「巡礼歌の段」を上演した。徳島から本場の人形浄瑠璃が来る場合に備えて見学に行く。今年で三回目のNY公演だが、三井住友海上基金の支援を受けてきたとの事。三回とも基金の支援を受けたとのことで、三回も支援と受けるのは前例がないそうだ。
0613(Tues) Rehearsal of the Nippon Club Chorus and group dinner
014(Wed) Dropped Kayoko off at bridge tournament in Fairfield. On the way back, visited Paterson waterfall and Garett Mountain where I could see Manhattan downtown. And, came a storm. In the evening when walking our dog, I could see a rainbow.
