Left Lunas with a taxi and dropped by at an ATM in Pont D’Orb. Yesterday’s driver said he could take me to the Col du Servies but today’s say he only can take me to the Village of Servies. No choice. Arrived at village around 10 and start walking. Trail is made easy and arrived at the Col in 90 minutes. This col was 16.9km from Lunas on the trail. Beautiful view of the south. Head west and found a picnic table at 944m （today’s highest) where had lunch there. Keep going to west and enjoyed beautiful views to south. Passed Col du Layrac and turned to south. It became extremely hot. The descent was difficult because developed some pain on right foot and had to take brakes often. At Mecle, fresh water was available. From there, I could have taken auto road but chose Camino. It was good choice. I could see the town of S. Gervis from above.
Arrived at Chenber d’hotel at 6:40 and inn keeper said the cafe will close at 7pm. I rushed there and ordered whatever was available.
今日も距離が長いので、平地を10キロほど車に乗り、山道17㎞ほどは歩きました。現金を出そうと思っても、Lunasに銀行はありませんでした。平地の途中、Le Bousquest d’Orbの銀行ATMで止まってもらい、現金を出しました。山道はかなり本格的な山登りで、標高300mぐらいのServiesという小から、まずCol de Servies標高838ｍに登ります。そこからは稜線伝いに西に登り、944ｍの本日最高点に着きました。ここにはピクニックテーブルがありましたので、ランチをしました。頂上稜線からは、南側のきれいな景色が見えましたので、写真を沢山撮りました。Col du Layrac標高701mから、南に下る様に方向が変わりました。同時に下りの勾配もきつくなり、また大変暑くなってきました。急な下りのおかげで、足の痛みが出てきました。休憩回数を増やしたり、テープを貼ったり、いろいろ工夫してなんとか痛みをコントロールしました。Mecleという集落には水場があり、有難く飲ませて頂きました。ここから目的地St. Gervisの村までは、カミノが近道ですが山道、舗装道路は遠回りだが下りが緩やかで、どちらを撮るか迷いましたが、カミノの山道を行くことにしました。これはいい決断でした。村は標高322mで、カミノは410－438mですから、おかげで上からきれいにSt. Gervisの村が見えました。川に沿って長くのびる村の道を歩き、宿に着いたのは18：40でした。Caféが19：00に閉まるからと宿の亭主が言うので、急いで食べに行きました。
