In the morning, started from Monreal by taxi. There was some confusion who was carrying my baggage between taxi or Correos(post office).
Started to walk from Olcoz, a hilltop village with watchtower at around 10:00. Strong wind and low temperature made it somewhat cold. When arrived the foot of the hill, it warmed up. Passed Eneriz and arrived at Santa Maria de Eunate around 1:00 pm. Entered the chapel which was serine. Stayed there to take photo and Ton and Marga arrived. Had lunch together at the yard of church office. They left before me. From there, it was hot. Passed Obanos and met with French way from Pamplona. Arrived Puente la Reina around 4pm. It was village festival and stores were closed. The hotel did not have restaurant and had to go into village for dinner.
Now, I left Camino Aragones and on French way. Went to meet with la Puente after dinner. Beautiful bridge.
MonrealからTiebasまで車で戻ることになっていましたが、もうちょっと先まで行ってくれと頼んで、Tiebasから5㎞ほど先のOlcozで降りました。この村は高台の上にあり、物見の塔がありました。見晴らしはいいのですが、冷たい風が吹きつけてきて寒いので、着れるものは全部着ました。麓に降りると風は無くなったので、脱ぐという作業が要りました。日が高くなり、カンカン照りになってきました。Enerizの村を抜け、八角形の教会堂で知られているEunateに着きました。Church of Saint Mary of Eunate で検索すると、解説が沢山出てきますので、ここでは省略します。教会を見学しいると、Ton/Margaご夫妻がお見えになり、管理事務所の芝生でランチを一緒に食べました。彼らはいつものように先に出立します。そこから2㎞ほどでObanosに着き、フランス人の道と合流しました。Obanosから1.5㎞ほどで、Puente la Reinaに着き、アラゴンの道を終え、これからフランス人の道を歩くことになります。村は夏祭りで、店は閉まっており、宿のレストランもしまっていて、村に夕食をとりに行きました。帰ってから、女王様の橋に会いに行きました。いつ見てもきれいな橋です。
