Continue to walk on the last half of Meseta. From the valley of Horinillos, climb up to the Meseta. The top was flat and kept walking. Go down at the valley of San Bol and go up again. Keep walking until we see the village of Hontanas. Stopped at the bar which I remembered.
The rest of the trail was on car road, I had asked bar to call taxi, which came shortly. Stopped at San Anton for few minutes for photo and arrived Castroherits.
Decided to visit the Castello on the top of the hill behind the village. This trip is to do what I could not do at the first trip 7 years ago and this was one of them. It was hot afternoon. Started from church located west of the village, arrived at the Castello some 30 min. later. It was preserved well by the Autonomous community; Castile y Leon and I thought this castle was very interesting. Came down a different route and went into the center of the village. Found a large church and it was connected to the tourist information office. It showed me a movie of their interpretation of the Camino in Japanese. Dinner was only 5 people in a large dining hall where they could host for more than 100 guests.
今日は、メセタ第二部です。8：30に歩き出し、Rio Homazuetaが流れるHorinillosの谷からメセタに登りました。標高差は100m少しですので、たいした事はありませんが、登りは登りです。このメセタの頂上部分は比較的広く、幅3㎞ぐらいありました。Hornillosから5.7ｋｍで、Rio San Bolが流れる谷にいったん降おりますが、又同じ高さまで登ります。二度目のメセタも同じぐらいの距離ですが頂上の平坦部分がちょっと狭いです。ということで、メセタは終わり、12時前にHontanasに着きました。坂を下って村に入る最初のバルはよく覚えています。ちがいは、今回は人が少ないことです。これから先は、自動車道を歩かされるので、この暑いのに自動車道を歩かされるのはたまらないし、宿のあるCastroheriz村の裏山の城塞の廃墟を是非見たかったので、バルのおばさんにタクシーを呼んでもらいました。San Miguelの教会の廃墟には止まってもらって写真を撮りました。さて、Castroherizの村に着き、水のボトルをもって裏山に登りました。熱したオーブンのようなカンカン照りの中をのぼると、体中から水分が蒸発してしまいそうでした。登り始めてから30分ほどで城塞の廃墟に着きました。州によって見学できるように鉄材で補強してあるのは有難かったです。とてもいい眺めで、興味深い城塞でした。先ほどまで歩いていたカミノも、明朝歩いていくカミノもよく見えました。前回登りたかったのですが、今回やっと登ることができました。別の道から村の中心に降りてみました。中心には観光案内書を兼ねた教会があり、彼らの解釈になるカミノのビデオプレゼンテーションを見せてもらいました。夕食は、テーブルが15ほどあって100人以上は入れるホテルのダイニングルームで、今日の客はたった5人、ワンテーブルでした。
