2022.0807.(Sun) Belorado-San Juan de Ortega 24.2km 15.1miles
Today, there are 2 parts, one is up to Villafranca and the other was in the mountain, both were 12km. As the first part was along car road, I took taxi. 2nd part started with steep ascent then became flat. At the fountain, was able to see a beautiful range of mountains. At the Munumento a los Caldos, learned 300 people was killed by Franco regime during Spanish civil war. Went down to arroyo Peroja and then had to come up. Met with Korean guy and walked together until Ortega. He was 32, teacher.
The Church and the village of Ortega was renovated beautifully and much different from 7 years ago. Also, I got impression that the village was a lot improved.
今日の行程は二部に分かれます。第一部はBelorado からMontes de Ocaまで、N120に沿った平野の道で、第二部はEbro川とDouro川の分水嶺の山々を歩く山道です。距離は双方同じぐらいです。7年前の経験からして、第一部は面白くありませんので、車でOcaまで行きました。Ocaからかなり急な山道を登り、20分ほどで平坦な道になりました。泉があって、4-5人が休んでいました。そのうちの一人は、昨日会ったポーランド人でした。南の方に美しい連山が見えました。登り切ったところで、 Munumento a los Caldosという記念碑があり、スペイン内戦時にフランコの党員に約300人が射殺されたことを悼むものでした。ここから約100ｍ下ってPeroja川を渡り、また同じだけ登ります。しばらく行くと、韓国人の男性が追い付いてきて、ほぼ水平の道を目的地まで一緒に歩きました。彼は32歳で、教師とのことでした。オルテガの教会も村も、7年前より一段ときれいになっているという印象を受けました。
